Cygames released update 2.05/2.000.005 for Granblue: Fantasy Relink on August 28, bringing significant quality-of-life changes to the game. This patch matters to players because it removes artificial caps on currency and fixes bugs that previously blocked progress in specific quests. The update moves beyond simple bug fixes to adjust core gameplay loops that affect long-term character building.

Cygames raises Master Skill Point limit and fixes quest blockers

The most notable change is the increase in the Master Skill Point (MSP) cap. Players can now accumulate up to 9,999,999 MSP, a tenfold increase from the previous limit of 999,999. This adjustment allows players to fully max out their character skill trees without hitting a hard ceiling.

Cygames also adjusted the reward structure for high-difficulty content. Clearing Chaos++ quests now yields between 50,000 and 140,000 MSP, up from a flat 30,000 MSP. The patch further reduces the maximum level of Fediel’s Enhanced Combo Finishers from 10 to 5, which simplifies the build requirements for that specific character.

Several technical issues received fixes in this update. The game resolves a bug where Gallanza’s Skybound Art failed to activate during the Deathmatch Finale. It also corrects a glitch where Conflux treasure bundle quantities dropped to zero, adding a reset mechanism to restore items based on player inventory. Camera softlocks in quests like New World Order and On the Threshold of The World are also patched.
