Re-Logic has confirmed that crossplay is coming to Terraria. The studio also stated that updates will continue beyond version 1.4.6. The announcements came as the game celebrated its 15th anniversary.
Crossplay and future updates confirmed
Terraria has sold over 70 million copies worldwide. That makes it the eighth best-selling game of all time. On PC alone, the game has sold 39.6 million copies. The tModLoader modding platform has been downloaded 12.3 million times on Steam. Players have spent an average of 101 hours and 18 minutes in the game.
A special 15th anniversary collector's edition box set has been announced. Preorders are due to open in early June 2026.
Ted 'Loki' Murphy, a Re-Logic representative, said reaching the 15-year milestone is 'equal parts insane and humbling.' He noted that 15 years amounts to 131,400 hours, which many players have chosen to spend with the game. The studio has not confirmed a specific release date for the crossplay update.
