Next-gen desktop chips retain existing socket for upgrades
The new desktop CPUs carry the codename Olympic Ridge and represent the Zen 6 architecture. AMD plans to scale these processors up to 24 cores, organized across chiplets that each contain up to 12 Zen 6 cores. This configuration is expected to replace the current Ryzen 9000 series in the product lineup.
