Furukawa stated, "I believe it is important that we consider how to expand the entire software business, including titles for both and , instead of focusing only on sales of Nintendo Switch 2 software." He also said Nintendo wants to "encourage people to transition to Nintendo Switch 2 at their own pace" and plans to "increase the Nintendo Switch 2 installed base over the medium to long term."
