Capcom is launching the Summer of Hunters 2026 event for Monster Hunter Now, bringing immediate changes to how players gather resources and craft weapons on iOS and Android. This update matters because it doubles material yields from basic activities and introduces a unique sleep-element gunlance that was previously unavailable. Players who want to stockpile crafting supplies or try the new Tropical Cannon weapon should plan their daily login routine around the August 24 start date.

Event introduces exclusive weapon and boosts resource gathering

The event runs from August 24 to September 13, splitting into two distinct phases that shift the focus of monster spawns. Part I begins on August 24 and runs through August 31, featuring boosted appearances for Shogun Ceanataur, Deviljho, Diablos, and Riftborne variants of Mizutsune, Paolumu, Glavenus, and Khezu. Part II follows from September 1 to September 6, changing the roster to include Shogun Ceanataur, Mizutsune, Paolumu, Zinogre, Legiana, Jyuratodus, and Bazelgeuse. Elder Dragon Interceptions for Velkhana remain active throughout the entire period, offering double materials in their reward slots.

Crafting efficiency sees a major boost as gathering points and small monster kills now yield double materials for all participants. The event also grants a 50 percent increase to field access range, allowing players to reach more areas during hunts. Driftsmelting distance for driftstones collected during the event drops to one kilometer, making it easier to convert collected stones into useful items. Featured monsters in both parts guarantee Mysterious Driftstone T, which provides Pursuit or Retaliation skills for driftstone builds.

Players can obtain the Tropical Cannon, an event-exclusive sleep-element gunlance with the Rude Awakener skill, by using a specific forging ticket. The Event Exchange Hub accepts tokens earned during the event for various rewards, including an exclusive Guild Card background. This hub remains open until the event concludes on September 13, giving players time to trade in their earnings for cosmetic and functional items.
