Sealime released a free PC demo for Heatwarped, an open-world arcade racer that channels the spirit of early 2000s street racing. This demo lets players test deep car customization and retro graphics on their own hardware before the full launch. Gamers who miss the raw, unpolished feel of classics like Need for Speed Underground should pay attention to this release.

Sealime's retro racing game demo is now available on Steam with detailed system requirements

The game focuses on high-speed driving in an open world with a distinct visual style inspired by the 2000s. Sealime designed the experience to prioritize arcade fun and vehicle modification over realistic simulation. Players can tweak their cars extensively to match their preferred racing aesthetic.

The free demo on requires a 64-bit version of Windows 10 for minimum operation. You need an FX 8320 or Core i5-3570K processor, along with 4 GB of RAM. The minimum graphics requirement is a GeForce GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon HD 7970. You also need 1 GB of available storage space to run the demo.

For a smoother experience, Sealime recommends Windows 11 with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 or Intel Core i5-12400F. The recommended graphics cards are the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or the AMD RX 5600 XT. This configuration supports 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second with enhanced settings. The minimum setup targets 30 frames per second with authentic settings at the same resolution.

The demo is available globally on Steam, but the full release date remains unknown. Sealime has not provided an estimated time of arrival for the complete game. Players can download the demo now to experience the current state of development.

We looked at other retro-inspired racing titles earlier while tracking indie game trends. Heatwarped fills a specific niche for players seeking that specific era of arcade racing culture. The demo provides a clear benchmark for what the final game might offer in terms of performance and style.
