Supergiant Games released update 1.006 for Hades 2 on consoles this week, bringing a significant batch of fixes to PS5 and |S players. This update consolidates the last three PC hotfixes into a single release, allowing console users to finally access the same stability improvements that PC gamers have already enjoyed. Players who have struggled with erratic boss behaviors or confusing UI elements should see immediate improvements in their daily runs.

Console players finally catch up to PC stability improvements

The patch targets the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game, which have lagged behind the PC release schedule for recent bug fixes. Supergiant Games delivered Hotfix 3, Hotfix 4, and Hotfix 5 in this single update to catch up on accumulated issues. The release covers a wide range of gameplay mechanics, from combat interactions to visual glitches that have plagued the console version.

A major focus of the update is fixing complex interactions between Boons and Daedalus aspects. The developers corrected issues where Nitro Boost failed to affect sprint speed when using the Black Coat. They also resolved conflicts between Glorious Disaster and Explosive Intent, as well as Heinous Affront and Light Smite. Boss behaviors received significant attention, with fixes for Unrivaled Typhon, Chronos, and Unrivaled Cerberus ensuring more predictable encounters.

The update also addresses several quality-of-life issues and visual glitches. Dream Dives mode now correctly delivers Shrine of Hermes items before the final encounter. Players will notice improved visual feedback on the Path of Stars screen when choosing upgrades. The inventory screen now provides hints for Mystery Seeds, and various visual effects for Twilight Curse and other abilities have been corrected.

Supergiant Games provided a detailed list of changes in their official patch notes. The notes include spoilers, so players should proceed with caution when reading the full breakdown. The team fixed numerous edge cases, such as Hecate appearing in the Crossroads after Chronos captures her. They also corrected issues with Dora offering incorrect decorative items based on the player's location.
