This 1600-watt unit becomes the first ATX power supply to earn 80 PLUS Ruby certification, a tier designed for high-demand workloads. Seasonic CEO Walter Sun explained that reaching the Ruby standard reflects years of engineering focus. He noted that every additional percent of efficiency gets harder to squeeze out of a power supply. However, he emphasized that these small gains add up to real savings at scale for large deployments. The company previously held records for 80 PLUS Gold and Titanium certifications, dating back to 2008.
