Netflix is reportedly planning an extended look series for Grand Theft Auto 6 rather than a single promotional video. This development suggests the streaming giant intends to build sustained hype for the upcoming title through episodic content. Players waiting for the next major installment from Rockstar Games may see a longer lead-up to the launch.
Streaming giant builds sustained hype through episodic content
The indication comes from a now-removed Netflix page in Portugal that featured placeholders for multiple episodes. These placeholders implied a structured series of videos rather than a one-off trailer drop. The specific webpage has since been taken down, leaving the exact number of episodes unconfirmed.
Rockstar Games leadership has hinted that there is more content beyond the initial extended look. This comment from the studio's boss aligns with the idea of a multi-part promotional campaign. The company has not yet released an official schedule or confirmed the episode count.
