Samsung's new Galaxy Z series has arrived in Europe with pre-order numbers that exceed company targets. This surge in demand signals strong consumer interest in the latest foldable devices before the global release. Buyers can now secure units for the August 7 launch through Samsung's website and Amazon.de.
Fold 8 captures 40 percent of demand as global launch nears
The lineup features the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. The Fold 8 stands out as the most popular choice, capturing 40 percent of all pre-orders. This preference suggests that the standard foldable form factor resonates more with European shoppers than the clamshell design.
Pricing for the devices starts at 1,259 EUR (around $1,454) for the base Galaxy Z Flip 8 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A special pink color option for the Flip 8 is available for 959 EUR (around $1,108). The Galaxy Z Fold 8 12GB RAM + 256GB model costs 1,999 EUR (around $2,309), while the 16GB RAM + 512GB version is priced at 2,199 EUR (around $2,540).
The Ultra variant commands a premium, with the 12GB RAM + 256GB model listed at 2,119 EUR (around $2,448). The top-tier Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs 2,399 EUR (around $2,771). The highest-end Flip 8 configuration with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 1,449 EUR (around $1,674).
