Krikzz has released the Everdrive-64 Pro, a new flash cart designed to bring modern convenience to the classic Nintendo 64. This update matters to collectors and retro gamers because it adds support for the rare Nintendo 64DD peripheral and includes built-in real-time clock functionality. Buyers who need to fix game compatibility issues will appreciate the automatic IPS and APS patching features. The device ships in eight distinct colors, including Grey, Grape Purple, and Watermelon Red.

Flash cart adds 64DD and RTC features for retro gamers

The hardware centers on a Cyclone 10 FPGA chip, which provides the processing power needed to emulate the original console architecture. Krikzz paired this FPGA with 128 MB of SDRAM to handle larger game files and save data without bottlenecks. The unit connects to your console via a standard Game Pak slot, ensuring it works with any N64 model. A USB Type-C port allows for data transfer at speeds up to 20MB/s, which is faster than previous generations.
