Star Trek Legends is leaving the market, and players need to act before the game vanishes. The mobile and PC RPG will stop accepting new downloads on August 20, 2026. This date marks the end of the game's commercial life, forcing current owners to decide if they want to preserve their progress before the servers close.

Players have until September 3 to finish the USS Artemis story

Tilting Point published the shutdown notice directly on the game's page. The developer confirmed that the title, which began on Apple Arcade in 2021, will fully go offline on September 3, 2026. Anyone who manages to download the installer before the August cutoff can keep playing until the final shutdown date.

The game launched on PC in early 2024 and reached PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch consoles in December 2024. Console versions seem to have disappeared from stores quietly before this official announcement. The Steam page now serves as the primary source for the confirmed timeline and the developer's final statement.

The official update text reads: "Captains, every mission must eventually reach its final frontier… Today, we are sharing the difficult news that Star Trek: Legends will be sunset. As part of this process, Star Trek: Legends will no longer be available to download from digital storefronts beginning August 20, 2026. Players who have already downloaded the game before this date will still be able to play until September 3, 2026, when the game will officially be taken offline and will no longer be playable." This quote confirms the two-step end-of-life process.

We looked at the game's lifecycle earlier while tracking mobile RPG releases. The confirmed dates provide a clear deadline for players who want to experience the USS Artemis story before the servers go dark.
