Pearl Abyss released Hotfix 1.16.02 for Crimson Desert on August 3 to resolve critical stability issues that were preventing players from accessing their saved progress. This update addresses persistent loading screen loops and black screen errors that occurred when loading save data under specific conditions. Players who encountered these blockers can now return to the game without manual intervention or data loss.

Pearl Abyss patches critical save loading and rendering issues

The patch corresponds to build number 1.000.425, which succeeds the previous version 1.16.0 (build 1.000.423). Pearl Abyss distributed this hotfix to address both general stability and platform-specific rendering bugs. The update targets users on PC and Mac systems who rely on modern graphics APIs for performance.

A specific fix resolves graphical issues that appeared when enabling Ray Regeneration on Radeon RX 9070 XT or higher graphics cards. Mac users benefit from a patch that prevents game crashes when the MetalFX Denoising Upscaler option is enabled. These changes ensure that high-end hardware and Apple Silicon devices render the game correctly without visual artifacts or instability.

The developer also fixed a bug that made indoor housing features unavailable in Housing Mode under certain circumstances. Known issues that remain in the current build include disappearing shields after reloading, fishing movement bugs, and FSR4 rain rendering artifacts. We looked at the last Crimson Desert update earlier while tracking stability patches, and these balance themes continue to shape the player experience.

This hotfix confirms that Pearl Abyss is actively addressing platform-specific rendering bugs and housing mode availability. The update is now available for Crimson Desert on all supported platforms.
