Halo: Campaign Evolved hits a snag on launch day for Xbox owners who bought the Premium Edition or the Premium Edition Upgrade. Players report that the game refuses to load, blocking access to the content they paid for. This issue impacts console users globally and disrupts the intended launch experience for a significant portion of the install base.

Developers investigate loading errors affecting premium content access

Halo Studios has confirmed the problem and is actively investigating the access failure. The developer identified that the bug affects purchases made through Xbox consoles and the Xbox app for PC. Xbox Support also chimed in, noting that engineers are working to mitigate errors when users try to connect to Xbox services.

The studio shared a direct statement about the situation, saying, "We’re investigating reports that some players on XBOX consoles and the XBOX app for PC who purchased the #HaloCE Premium Edition or Premium Edition Upgrade are unable to access the game." Xbox Support added, "We are aware that some users are encountering errors when attempting to connect to Xbox services and features. Our engineers are actively working to mitigate the issue."

Players are being advised to wait until the regular retail release date of July 28 for the issue to resolve. There is currently no known workaround for the loading error, and no specific timeframe has been given for a fix. We looked at the last Halo: Campaign Evolved update earlier while tracking similar stability themes.

The situation remains under active investigation by both the developer and platform support teams. Users with the Premium content must wait for the July 28 release date or a subsequent fix. No further details on the cause of the service disruption are available at this time.
