Ubisoft has moved more than 80 games to the Xbox PC Store, but buyers should check the fine print before clicking buy. The storefront update adds a large library of Ubisoft titles to the Microsoft ecosystem, yet it strips away key platform features for most of them. Players looking for seamless Xbox integration will find that the experience is fragmented rather than unified. This distinction matters because the store listing does not guarantee the full Xbox gaming benefits that users expect from native titles.

Ubisoft has added over 80 titles to the Xbox PC Store, but buyers should check the fine print before clicking buy.

Most titles require Ubisoft Connect and lack Xbox integration features

The core issue lies in how these games launch and connect to platform services. Most of the newly listed titles require the Ubisoft Connect extension to run, which acts as a separate launcher layer. The Xbox Store listings serve primarily as digital entitlements to access Ubisoft Connect rather than providing native Xbox-integrated versions of the software. This setup means that the Xbox interface is largely bypassed during the actual gameplay session.

Technical limitations define the user experience for the vast majority of this new catalog. Xbox achievements are absent for most of the 80-plus titles, removing a standard social feature for PC gamers. Cross-save functionality is also missing for the bulk of the library, preventing progress synchronization between Xbox consoles and the PC store. These omissions create a disconnect between the storefront branding and the actual game functionality.

There are exceptions to this general rule, but they are rare. Only two titles in the current batch explicitly support Xbox achievements: Skull and Bones and The Crew Motorfest. These specific games offer a more integrated experience compared to the rest of the catalog. Users should verify the feature list for individual titles before purchasing, as the presence of the Xbox Store badge does not ensure feature parity across the entire Ubisoft lineup.
