Lenovo released the ThinkBook 14x in the US and Canada, offering a lightweight option for professionals who prioritize portability. The new laptop weighs just 990 grams, making it easy to carry during daily commutes or travel. This release gives buyers a specific 14-inch alternative in Lenovo's current lineup without the bulk of heavier business machines.

Lightweight 14-inch laptop ships with Intel Core Ultra 5 and 120 Hz screen

The US model ships with an Core Ultra 5 226V processor from the Lunar Lake family. It pairs this chip with 16 GB of on-package LPDDR5X RAM running at 8,533 MT/s. Key Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 226V
  • RAM: 16 GB LPDDR5X 8,533 MT/s
  • Display: 1200p IPS, 120 Hz, 400 nits
  • Weight: 990 g
  • Price: $1,104 USD

Users get a 1200p IPS display that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and covers 100% of the sRGB color space. The screen peaks at 400 nits of brightness, which handles indoor office lighting well. Storage starts with a 256 GB M.2 2242 SSD, and the chassis includes an empty M.2 2280 slot for future upgrades.

The device measures 312 x 217 x 12.9 to 15.6 mm and includes a haptic touchpad for navigation. Connectivity relies on 10 Gbps USB ports that support DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery. The system lacks Thunderbolt 4 ports, which keeps the internal architecture simpler but limits high-speed external peripheral options.

Pricing starts at $1,104 USD in the United States and CAD 1,529 (around $1,085) in Canada. Lenovo released the machine simultaneously in both North American markets. Potential buyers should note that Core Ultra 7 variants and 32 GB RAM options are not confirmed for this initial launch.
