Mods for the upcoming racing title Forza Horizon 6 have already surfaced online ahead of the game's official launch. The developer, Playground Games, has not yet released the full software, but community-created modifications are currently accessible to the public.
Modding community shares Japan vistas and progression improvements
The modifications are hosted on the Nexus Mods platform. Available content includes a Realism Reshade mod, a save file mod designed to skip the tutorial sequence, and a Tokyo Drift menu replacement. Players can also install a mod that replaces Xbox key prompts with DualSense inputs, as well as a utility to disable the heads-up display.
Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for a global early access release on May 15, 2026. The full retail version will arrive on Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam on May 19, 2026.
Insider Gaming described the game's Japanese setting as having breathtaking vistas and praised the improvements to the progression system. The publication stated that these changes place the title at the pinnacle of the racing genre.
Playground Games has not confirmed the launch window for the official release in public statements. The pre-release availability of mods indicates that the game's file structure is already exposed to the modding community.
