This configuration allows home lab enthusiasts and small business owners to build a high-performance network-attached storage device that doubles as a capable workstation. The transition from a single-bay design to a four-bay chassis meets the increasing need for centralized data storage using modern hardware.

Four-bay chassis supports 132TB HDDs and 256GB RAM for home labs

The new unit is built around the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, which belongs to the Strix Point family. This chip includes a Radeon 890M integrated graphics engine, providing enough graphical horsepower for light creative tasks or media transcoding alongside storage duties. The device features a modular motherboard design that facilitates easier maintenance and potential upgrades compared to typical consumer mini PCs.
