Capcom has reported record profits for the ninth consecutive year. The company's net sales rose 15.2% year over year. Game sales reached an all-time high of 59.07 million units.

Resident Evil Requiem leads sales surge

The latest title in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil Requiem, sold 6.91 million copies in its first two months. Older titles accounted for 83.7% of total game sales. Digital downloads made up 93% of all game sales.

Capcom expects to achieve a tenth consecutive year of record-high profits in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027. The company is researching generative AI to improve game development efficiency and productivity.

The company's core Digital Contents business drove results, with catalog titles led by the Resident Evil series contributing significantly. Capcom also expanded earnings through movies, character merchandise, esports, arcade operations, and amusement equipment.
