Acer has entered the Latin American smartphone market with a device that prioritizes a unique hardware configuration over raw processing power. The Acer Sospiro A15 targets buyers who want a dedicated rear screen for framing shots without turning the main display around. This dual-display approach offers a distinct alternative to standard single-screen phones in the region.

The device runs Android 16 out of the box and is powered by the Unisoc T615 chipset. It includes 6GB of physical RAM, which the system can expand to 14GB using virtual memory technology. The phone ships with 128GB of internal storage that supports expansion up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Specifications

  • Main Display: 6.67-inch HD+ IPS, 120Hz, waterdrop notch
  • Rear Display: 1.88-inch TFT
  • Processor: Unisoc T615
  • RAM: 6GB (expandable to 14GB via virtual RAM)
  • Storage: 128GB (expandable up to 1TB via microSD)

The Sospiro A15 features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch. A secondary 1.88-inch TFT screen sits on the back of the device to act as a viewfinder for the main camera. The rear camera system consists of a 64-megapixel AI dual setup with an LED flash, while a 16-megapixel front camera includes its own flash.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, VoLTE, ViLTE, and an FM radio. The phone retains a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired accessories. It houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Security is handled through a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock technology. The device does not support 5G networks due to the limitations of the Unisoc T615 processor. Acer has confirmed the phone is headed for select Latin American markets, including Mexico, but has not yet revealed the price or release date.
