Riot Games has detailed a series of changes coming to Valorant in Patch 13.00, including adjustments to ranked play, new game modes, and balance updates. The patch will go live ahead of Valorant Masters London, which starts on June 6.

Initiator cooldowns drop to 50 seconds

Initiator cooldowns will be reduced from 60 seconds to 50 seconds in Patch 13.00. The RR reward calculation will be updated to place more emphasis on individual player performance. New game modes include a combination of Replication and All Random One Site, a 3v3 Spike Mode, and a KAY/O combat simulation mode. Sentinels will receive buffs to counter Duelist aggression, and the Bandit weapon will be improved. Players will also be able to download friends' point-of-view recordings for VOD review.

Masters London begins on June 6.

Riot Games stated that a player's rank should be a clear reflection of their skill and that the journey to get there should feel fair. The developer plans to be more proactive in testing and refining matchmaking approaches. Max Grossman acknowledged that some tuning has been left in the game longer than it should have been. The developer has not confirmed the exact timing for all changes, including Neon and shotgun nerfs, which have been moved to Patch 12.09.
