Abxylute S8 Lite Telescopic Controller Launches at $40 for USB-C Mobile Gaming
ACCESSORIES

Abxylute released the S8 Lite, a wired telescopic game controller designed for smartphones and tablets. This release offers a lower-cost entry point for mobile gamers who prefer physical controls over touchscreens. The device connects directly to supported devices via a USB-C connector on the right side, eliminating the need for wireless pairing or battery management.

Affordable wired controller adds Hall Effect sticks and passthrough charging

The S8 Lite serves as a more affordable version of the company's wireless S8 model. It targets users with Android and iOS devices that feature USB-C ports. The controller supports devices with a maximum length of 216 mm, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of current smartphones and tablets.

Specifications

  • Connectivity: USB-C wired
  • Thumbsticks: Asymmetrical Hall Effect
  • Triggers: Hall Effect linear
  • Back Buttons: 2 customizable
  • Max Device Length: 216 mm

Abxylute equipped the S8 Lite with asymmetrical Hall Effect thumbsticks to prevent drift over time. The controller also features Hall Effect linear triggers for precise input response. Users can customize two back buttons to map additional game functions. The device includes swappable D-pads to suit different control preferences.

The S8 Lite lacks wireless connectivity, which distinguishes it from the premium wireless S8. It is incompatible with and Switch 2 consoles due to its wired USB-C design. The controller includes passthrough charging, allowing users to power their device while playing. It comes in a single black color option.

The S8 Lite is available to buy now for 39.99 USD (around $39.99). This pricing makes it a budget-friendly option for mobile gaming peripherals. We looked at the wireless S8 earlier while tracking Abxylute's controller lineup.
