Developer Fumi released the largest update to date for Mouse P.I. for Hire, introducing version 1.1.0 for PC and v2.001 for consoles.

The update targets the full player base by adding rebindable Flashlight controls on every platform, allowing players to customize their inventory management freely. Achievement requirements have also been updated with retroactive unlocks, rewarding existing players for progress made prior to the patch installation.

Technical improvements focus heavily on resolving long-standing progression blockers and stability issues. The developer fixed numerous crashes, softlocks, collision errors, and quest progression blockers that previously prevented players from advancing through multiple levels of the game.

Platform-specific enhancements include Alpha Widescreen support for PC users, which improves display compatibility across various monitor configurations. Default field of view has been adjusted to 90 degrees on PC Handhelds, while keyboard rebinding support was added specifically for those devices to improve input customization.

The patch addresses core gameplay mechanics and visual settings that directly impact player experience. By standardizing controls and fixing progression blockers, the update ensures smoother gameplay across all platforms without altering core game design.
