1047 Games, the studio behind Splitgate, is developing a new game called Empulse. The title is described as a spiritual successor to Titanfall.

Pre-alpha footage shows mechs and movement.

Pre-alpha footage shows Team Deathmatch gameplay with grappling hooks, wall running, boost pads, and mechs. Mechs are scattered on the map and come equipped with a Gatling gun, shield, and missile launcher.

CEO Ian Proulx previously said the team is working on a movement shooter inspired by Titanfall and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Empulse is currently in pre-alpha and is expected to be announced later this year.

Some details remain unclear. How mechs are obtained could change from the footage seen. It is not clear whether the game will have mechs with different abilities. The release date and whether the game will be free-to-play or premium are also uncertain.
